What to expect from your first appointment? Many people can often feel anxious or overwhelmed attending their first appointment and this is totally normal! Your psychologist will gather any information about why you are wanting therapy and help guide you through the process in a non-judgemental and understanding way.
How long will my appointment be? Appointment times will vary depending on the service you require. Typical sessions are 50mins. Couple/Family sessions can range between 60mins-180mins but this will be discussed at the time of booking
Do I need a GP referral? You do not need a referral to access a psychologist. However if you do receive a GP referral and Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP you will receive a medicare rebate per appointment. Please note that medicare do not provide a rebate for Family/Couple therapy.
