Jodie Humphreys

Principal Psychologist & Board Approved Supervisor

Jodie Humphreys has over 20 years experience working in Private-practice and educational settings. Jodie works with individual clients from all ages ranging from toddlers to adults, as well as working with couples and families.

Jodie has specialised training in Gottman Couple Relationship Therapy,  Eating Disorders, Sand Play Therapy, Family Therapy and ADOS/MIGDAS assessments.

  • Trauma: Both Child and Adult Trauma

Nicole Small

Registered Psychologist

Nicole is a registered psychologist who has relocated from Far North Queensland and is excited to support clients on the South Coast. Nicole has experience working in schools and not-for-profit organisations, where she has supported children, adolescents, and adults to meet their therapeutic goals.

Nicole is trained in a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Sandtray Therapy. She also utilises creative and narrative-based approaches in her practice. Nicole takes a neuro-affirming approach to therapy and has a special interest in supporting children and adolescents who face challenges in the school environment.

Nicole is able to work with individuals of all ages presenting with:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Emotional Regulation

  • School-related challenges

  • Parenting and Attachment difficulties

  • Exploring and supporting different neurotypes

Alisha Burcher

Provisional Psychologist

Alisha Burcher is a Provisional Psychologist who has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and individuals engaged in occupational rehabilitation. She is passionate about supporting clients as they navigate challenges, build on their strengths, and improve their sense of wellbeing.

Alisha practices from a neuro-affirming framework and adapts her approach to suit each person’s individual needs and goals.

Alisha is known for her warm, steady, and collaborative therapeutic style, aiming to create a supportive environment where clients feel safe, respected, and heard.

 

Alisha is currently completing her internship at Nourishing Psychology under the supervision of Jodie Humphreys.

 

Alisha is able to work with individuals of all ages presenting with:​​

  • Difficulties with emotional regulation

  • School and learning-related concerns

  • Parenting and attachment challenges

Abbey Robinson

Provisional Psychologist

Abbey Robinson is a Provisional Psychologist with experience working with children and adolescents. She is passionate about supporting young people to meet their therapeutic goals and ensures she uses a neuro-affirming approach with clients.

 

Abbey currently is completing her placement at a school as a Provisional Psychologist, where she provides assessment and therapeutic support to students.

 

Abbey practices under the supervision of Registered Psychologist Amy Newsom, ensuring a high standard of care and continued professional growth.​

Abbey is able to work with individuals of all ages presenting with:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Emotional Regulation

  • School-related challenges

  • Parenting and Attachment difficulties

  • Exploring and supporting different neurotypes

Associates

Amy Newsom

Registered Psychologist

Amy has over 10 years’ experience across private practice and educational settings in metropolitan Sydney, regional NSW and remote Western Australia. She works with clients across the lifespan and tailors her approach to each individual. Amy is known for her warm, friendly and down-to-earth style, and values collaborating with clients, their loved ones and other professionals in their care.

 

Amy is skilled in a range of evidence-based treatment models, including:

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

  • Enhanced Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT-E) for Eating Disorders

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) 

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

Her areas of interest include:

  • Anxiety, perfectionism and obsessive thoughts

  • Disordered eating, exercise and body image issues

  • Depression, mood cycling and emotion regulation difficulties 

  • Executive functioning difficulties including attention and motivation

Amy also conducts strengths-based psychological assessments for Autism, ADHD, Intellectual Disability and Specific Learning Disorders. She is also a Board-approved supervisor.

Kaelan Jones

Registered Psychologist

Kaelan is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). With experience in private practice settings, Kaelan has supported children, adolescents, and adults with a range of presentations. Kaelan has a particular interest in helping individuals explore their neurotype and has a
background in neuroaffirming assessment and diagnosis.

 

Kaelan can assess for:
- Autism
- ADHD
- Intellectual Developmental Disorders
- Specific Learning Disorders
- Giftedness

 

Kaelan enjoys helping clients identify their brain style strengths, find ways to navigate their brain style challenges, and most of all unmask and discover their true selves in a safe and supportive way.

Please note Kaelan is available for assessments only in Kiama.
